Privacy Policy

We want using our website to be simple and secure. Below we explain - without legal jargon - what data we collect, why we collect it and what rights you have.

The Polish version of this Privacy Policy is the binding version; this English translation is provided for information purposes only.

1. Who is the controller of your data

The controller of your data is Universal Renewable Energy Solutions sp. z o.o. (URES) with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Złota 75A/7, 00-819 Warszawa, Poland, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy (National Court Register) under KRS number 0001016567, NIP (tax identification number) 5214003808, REGON (statistical identification number) 524353402.

For any matters concerning personal data, please contact us at: kontakt@ures.com.pl.

We have not appointed a data protection officer (we are not required to do so) - for all matters concerning your data, please use the address above.

2. What data we collect and why

a) Contact form. When you send us a message via the contact form, you provide: your full name, e-mail address, subject and the content of the message. We use this data to respond to your enquiry and - where applicable - to continue the conversation about potential cooperation.

Your IP address and the date and time of submission are automatically attached to the message we receive. We do this solely to protect the form against spam and abuse. For the same reason, we temporarily store your IP address in order to limit the number of submissions from a single location - this record is deleted automatically 10 minutes after the last submission.

b) Website preferences (browser storage). We store your choice of theme (light/dark/system) and website language in the local storage of your browser (localStorage). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us - it serves only to display the website the way you have set it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings. For the duration of a single visit, we also record in the browser's session storage (sessionStorage) that the intro animation has already been displayed - this is removed when the tab is closed. The theme or language choice can also be passed in the page address (the theme and lang parameters); these are not stored anywhere on our side.

c) Standard technical data. The ures.com.pl website is hosted on the servers of the hosting provider IONOS SE in the European Union. Like any hosting provider, IONOS processes technical connection data (anonymised IP address, browser and device type, time of access, requested address) in order to deliver the website and ensure its security; this data is retained for up to 8 weeks. The contact form itself is operated by a service running on Cloudflare infrastructure - Cloudflare processes technical data relating to the request (including the IP address) in order to deliver and secure the form, and retains technical metadata for a short period (up to 7 days).

3. On what legal basis we process your data

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone whose involvement is not necessary to handle your enquiry. We use providers who process data solely on our behalf (processors, Article 28 GDPR):

Your data may also be disclosed to entities authorised under applicable law (e.g. public authorities) if they so request, within the scope permitted by law.

5. Transfers of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

The hosting of the website (IONOS) takes place entirely within the European Union. Cloudflare, Resend and Google have their registered offices or data centres in the USA, so handling your submission may involve a transfer of data outside the EEA. This takes place in accordance with Chapter V GDPR: all of these entities are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework - the European Commission's Implementing Decision of 10-07-2023 finding an adequate level of protection (Article 45 GDPR) - and additionally apply the Commission's standard contractual clauses (Article 46(2)(c) GDPR). You can obtain a copy of the safeguards by writing to our contact address.

6. How long we retain data

7. Your rights

In connection with the processing of your data, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, please write to us at kontakt@ures.com.pl.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, PUODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland (uodo.gov.pl), if you consider that we process your data unlawfully.

8. Is providing data mandatory

Providing data in the form is voluntary, but without an e-mail address and the content of the message we will not be able to respond to your enquiry. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

9. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website does not use any cookies, does not use analytics or advertising tools and does not track your activity. We use only the browser's local storage and session storage to remember your theme and language preferences and the information that the intro animation has been displayed (described in section 2b). This is why we do not display a cookie consent banner - there is nothing for us to collect consent for.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change the way we process data, we will update this policy and change the date at the top of the page. We encourage you to check back here from time to time.
